Why unfortunate people exist?

Why there are poor people?
Why there are physically challenged people?

Is there a God who takes care of them?

If there’s a God, why does He let them suffer every day?

Where is the point which tells us that He loves us equally?

Mostly we ask these questions when we see these people face to face, on the tv, and on the newspapers every other day.

All of the abovementioned questions have been bothering me but not until I met a few people and listened to their own stories.

All of us were made for a purpose. It’s no coincidence that some people are poor and others are physically challenged.

James 2:5

Did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

James 2:5
Surprisingly, we witness most of them not complaining nor asking why God has forsaken them. Despite the difficulties on their shoulders, they still don’t forget to put a smile on their faces and do good things like normal people.

They give us a reason not to give up and most especially not to turn away from the One who made us all.

Jesus told the poor people how fortunate they are for theirs is the kingdom of God.

-      Luke 6:20

(This is enough reason for them to hold on to the promise of the One who made them.)

They are here showing in front of us in order to show how blessed we are. They are a simple reminder to not lose hope when faced with trials and burdens.

On the flip side, we are here to show kindness to them just like what Jesus did for us.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
