How to face your fears?

Sometimes we feel intimidated to other people. Intimidated to their personality, size, strength, while others are intimidated to their authority and superiority they have earned through the years.

When I was in elementary, I got intimidated of a few biggies who were known for their great bullying skills and wickedness. I couldn't even give them a look for I knew that they are going to put my head on a cow's dung.

In my previous jobs, I got intimidated to my superiors because of their power to kick my ass out of my job.
I couldn't defend myself from them even though they are wrong because of the fear of losing my job.

I was so afraid and felt so weak but not until I read the assertive point of the prophet Isaiah about this issue.

Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die?  (Isaiah 51:12)

He said that fearing the reproach of people is foolish because they are dying creatures who, like grass, are here today and gone tomorrow.

If David was intimidated to the giant and furious Goliath, do you think he could have defeated him? His faith had conquered his fear.

People can do us the worst harm, but the Lord is won our side. Who can then be against us?
